Friday night was my turn to host book club. It was a smaller group and that led to some deeper "get-to-know-you" kind of discussion. We all loved it! We discussed the book "Abandonment to Divine Providence," and our next selection is "Bake and Be Blessed" by Fr. Garramone. Usually I make a very intensive-labor dessert, but for some reason I wanted to create something very simple (not knowing it wouldn't be huge group anyway). This was a recipe from Real Simple magazine (I think from sometime last year?). It was super simple to make and delicious. I am now a puff pastry convert! I also made some spinach type pinwheel appetizers from the other part of the leftover puff pastry.
